Rev. Dr. Timothy V. Olson, Minster of Word & Sacrament - Pastor Timothy came to Christ Church in 1999. His main areas of ministry include: Worship life, leadership development, adult Learning, stewardship, leadership of the staff and development and advancement of mission and vision. After several years as a banker and lay leader, he became a lay professional in 1988. He was ordained as a pastor in 1996. Pastor Timothy is also active in the wider Church, serving as Ecumenical Representative for the Bishop; Instructor in Early Church History and Christian Doctrine for the Diakonia Program (a Synodical Lay School of Theology); Adjunct Faculty of the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago serving as an advisor and professor in the ACTS Doctor of Ministry in Preaching Program. tim@makingchristknown.org

Vicar Joy Lynn Stuber Alsop will be with us for a year beginning July 16, 2007. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Religion and Communication/Linguistics and receiving a minor in Greek. She is currently working on a Master of Divinity degree at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago (LSTC). Joy has “a strong passion towards social justice ministry.” Joy's husband, Jake, a Minnesota native and a 2006 graduate of Luther College, is a sales analyst for Judge and Dolph Ltd. Jake and Joy love to spend time together watching movies, cooking, traveling and playing with their cat, Zoee. “We are excited to be moving to the area and spending the year with you all at Christ Lutheran Church.” joy@makingchristknown.org

Jane Atteberry, Minister of Outreach - Ms. Atteberry has served the congregation since 1997. She served until August of 2003 as Parish Administrator. As Minister of Outreach, she is responsible for hospitality and invitation efforts, communications, editor of Christ Alive, lay ministry development, and integration of new members. She has worked as a home economics teacher and administrator in various fields. Ms. Atteberry is a candidate for certification as an Associate in Ministry (AIM) of the ELCA. jane@makingchristknown.org

Annette Bottum, Minister of Early Childhood- Ms. Bottum joined the Ministry Team in 2006. Shes serves as developer and director of the Christ Lutheran Pre-School and is responsible for ministries that relate to chidren from birth to kindergarten. Annette is a certified teacher, with certifications in early childhood and early childhood special education. She has administered and taught in pre-school programs and before joining the ministry team, had a state licensed day care in her home. annette@makingchristknown.org

Craig Carlson, Parish Musician - Mr. Carlson has been supplying musical leadership since the congregation began in 1995. He plays organ, piano, guitar, bass, offering his talents in worship each week. He works outside the church during the week as a manager for a local banking corporation. Chris Dayton - Minister of Elementary Learning - Ms. Dayton joined the Ministry Team in 2007. Chris is employed by the US Postal Service fulltime. She has a degree in education and is a certified elementary teacher. She has served as a Sunday School teacher and director for many years. Chris has served on the Congregational Council, Her reponsibilities will be for ministry with elementary age youth and their parents, including work with the Sunday's Cool program for this age group; Vacation Bible School and the CrossWalk program on Wednesday evenings. chris@makingchristknown.org

Jennifer Fox, AIM, Minister of Worship & Music - Ms. Fox began directing the music ministries here in 1996. She is responsible for choirs for all ages, worship planning, music and drama in the learning ministries and special music. She was certified as an Associate in Ministry (AIM) in 1987 and has worked as a church musician for many years. Elizabeth Martin, Minister of Word & Pastoral Care - Ms. Martin began her ministry at Christ Church in 1998. She is a Synodically Authorized Minister of Word, which means she has been affirmed by the Bishop as a lay preacher. She provides pastoral care in partnership with the pastor, and is responsible for the health and healing ministries of the congregation. Deb Pennington, Minister of Youth & Family - Ms. Pennington joined the Ministry Team in 2006. Deb is a Registered Nurse, working in the area of family practice and has served as a youth director in the past. Deb has served on the Congregational Council, worked as a teacher in the Sunday’s Cool program and leads the small group, Meeting God in the Word. Her reponsibilities will be for ministry with Junior and Senior High youth and their parents, including work with the Sunday's Cool program for this age group; the CrossWalk program on Wednesday evenings and the CrossRoads senior high group. deb@makingchristknown.org

Valerie Rote, Minister of Administration- Ms. Rote began her ministry in July of 2003. She is responsible for parish records, accounts payable, volunteer coordination, lay ministry scheduling and support of the ministry team. She is also primary team leader for the prayer ministries of the congregation. Prior to her work on the staff, she was very involved in the Emmaus program. val@makingchristknown.org

Bev Frank, Director of One-to-One Tutoring - Ms. Frank directs an outreach program which provides tutoring in the Harlem Public Schools. She coordinates volunteers and students with the help of her daughter, Kathy Arnold - the Assistant Director. Ms. Frank works for Luther Academy during the school year. clcelca@makingchristknown.org
