To foster the characteristics of faith in a way that endeavors to restore the meaning and efficacy of confirmation as a point of renewed faith and vitality, we expect young people preparing for confirmation to be involved in the life of the church in various ways:
1. Worship—This is the constitutive act of Christians, and essential for life in the body of Christ.
2. Sunday’s Cool—Learning ministries on Sunday morning provide a weekly encounter with God’s Word.
3. CrossWalk— Wednesday evening program that emphasizes learning, community, and faith practices for children in grades 4-8 and their parents.
4. Camp—To build community and a sense of the larger church, children attend camp at least one summer after 7th - 8th grades.
5. Service—Active participation with family and on their own, in the worship ministries and other opportunities for service in the congregation and community.
