In an effort to enhance our mission of Making Christ Known to children and families throughout the community, we opened Christ Lutheran Preschool in January, 2007. The goal of our preschool is to educate, enrich and enlighten children and families. We educate and prepare three, four and five-year-old children for cognitive, social and physical success in school; we enrich children's lives through a safe and loving environment; and we enlighten their spirit with a deeper understanding of God through daily prayer, bible stories and chapel time.

About our Preschool
Christ Lutheran Preschool offers a Christian learning enviornment for children ages three through five. All children, regardless of faith or church affiliation, are welcome at Christ Lutheran Preschool.
Located just 1.5 miles east of I-90 on Riverside, our country setting lends itself to the study of nature and an appreciation for our environment.

Our Curriculum
At Christ Lutheran Preschool we have adapted the High/Scope Preschool Educational Approach to meet the individual needs of our students. Our teachers plan experiences for children that foster independent thinking, initiative, and creativity. Through this approach we promote language and literacy, number concepts, science, social studies, movement, music, art and technology. Our young children develop the academic and social skills they need to succeed in kindergarten, and an overall love for school.
Positive Discipline
At Christ Lutheran Preschool we practive Positive Discipline. Self discipline is better learned through guidance than through punishment. We want our students to learn self-control, self-help, and ways to get along with others. Teachers are continuously involved in setting limits, encouraging desired behaviors, and making decisions about guiding children.
Our Director
Annette Bottum is the Minister of Early Childhood at Christ Lutheran Church. She directs the preschool and teaches the five-day program. Annette has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Approval. With over ten years of experience working with young children, she is excited to have the opportunity to guide the preschoolers.
