One in three of us will need blood donated by an unnamed, unknown agent of God's healing. That agent of God is you. About every two months, Christ Lutheran Church sponsors a blood drive in partnership with the Rock River Valley Blood Center.

- July 6
- August 31
- October 26
- December 21
Blood donation is simple, free, and only involves the small prick of a needle. The end result is a pint of blood needed here in the Rock River Valley. If you’ve not given before, we’ll be happy to sit with you if you’re a little uneasy. If you’re a repeat donor, thanks! Donors must be at least 16 years of age (those age 16 need to have parental consent) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Additionally, very few medications prevent people from donating blood; you can donate blood if you take aspirin, receive allergy shots, take allergy medications, take thyroid medications or high blood pressure medications, to name a few. Please help us share good health to those in need. Blood donation DOES save lives. Here are a few facts to consider:
The Rock River Valley Blood Center must collect 900 pints of blood each week (that’s 150 per day!) to meet the needs of the nine hospitals it serves.
There is no cost to donate blood, of course. And when you donate here we’ll provide you with soups or salads, desserts, and beverages.
